Gluten free lunch recipes and packed lunches

The gluten free lunch can be a tricky thing. If you're having a busy day, grabbing something at the last minute can lead to frustration, hunger and ultimately, toast. I like to stay ahead of the game and get my gluten free lunches planned the previous day, or at least something in the fridge to grab (see gluten free snacks for more ideas).

Of course, lunch can always mean gluten free bread wrapped round something, but as I point out on my gluten free bread page, that isn't always such an enticing option. Flatbreads, savoury biscuits and other bready-type-things can be good fillers along with a tasty salad however, and you'll find those on the bread page too.

I'm also often at the office, or elsewhere for lunch, so packed lunches are a common feature. You can pack pretty much any of these lunches, especially with the addition of that handiest of portable food technology, the food flask (wide-mouthed cold day life-saver!)
